The upper of these boots has 200g/m² of insulation beneath a windproof and waterproof outer fabric. The Whitney III is warmer than a basic ankle boot, but not as clumsy or heavy as ice-fishing boots.
The “Big kids” in the product name refers to the sizing – these use US Junior sizing rather than Children’s sizing.
